Let Saffron’s do all the work! We have been catering in the Tampa bay area since 1991 when Saffron’s Caribbean Restaurant opened the first of it’s restaurants at 2801 38th Avenue North in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The restaurant had over 70 seats and provided Catering. With a unique product, strong management and an aggressive marketing plan, Saffron’s was soon one of the best-known restaurants and caterers in the Tampa Bay Area.

With several Best of the Bay Awards for Fine Dining and numerous favorable reviews in the St. Petersburg Times and Tampa Tribune, our reputation grew. The quality and uniqueness of our food and a thriving business generated by personal testimonials and referrals served as the key mechanism for Saffron’s growth into a household name.

Through our years of food experience, Saffron’s has continued to developed an innovative style of cooking that combines the flavors of the Caribbean with, nutritious and eye pleasing dishes. Chef Jackie Hill, from Jamaica, creates a unique and pleasant experience for food connoisseurs as well as the average person with an appetite.

The Saffron filaments, or threads, are actually the dried stigmas of the saffron flower, "Crocus Sativus Linneaus". Each flower contains only three stigmas. These threads must be picked from each flower by hand, and more than 75,000 of these flowers are needed to produce just one pound of Saffron filaments, making it the world’s most precious spice.
